My biggest piece of advice is to go into recruitment at UT with an OPEN MINDI cannot stress this enoughplease try not to listen to other girls and thier opinions of the houses, especially if they are negative. And, 2) Choose to work with a sorority rush coach to help prepare them for and guide them through recruitment. Until you travel to every college and every chapter you really have no right to pass judgement on any woman in any chapter. I disagree on ADPi. ,UT rush is incredibly competitive due to the high number of legacies and in state students who already have connections with the chapters, plus the number of PNMs who only seem to want one of six chapters. To ALL of the sororitys we are great people and DONT let a random website tell u what u are not!! We don't have much of that her in or country, but from what I have gathered it's not so bad if you find the right one to be a part of. Girls usually aren't big on greek life. Despite their relatively low profile, Alpha Chi Omegas are considered down-to-earth and genuine. Kappa Especially those that try to tell you what an organization of thousands of women across the entire US is like. Pi Beta Phi girls ("Pi Phis) are considered by most to be top-tier but also have a reputation as fake and superficial. Tri Delt: Really outgoing and fun girls. (Hang w/ Chi O and Zeta + KA, Sig Ep, Kappa Sig, Delt, Sigma Chi) Please note that staff are currently on a flexible work arrangement schedule. Zeta Tau Alpha tends to be far more popular in the South than elsewhere in the country. Most freshmen at all three of their pref nights went PKT. Anyone and everyone ever involved in the Greek System is obviously going to be biased toward their sorority or the sorority that all of their friends are in. plan on rushing and MEET THE GIRLS. They pick each other out before recruitment even begins. Time to get with the times and realize that the top houses are no longer in the south and east and beauty and wealth are not considered as much as grades, sports and philanthropy.
